CCC Group strengthens its regional presence with plans to build a new Distribution Center
CCC Group, a leading footwear retailer in Central and Eastern Europe, continues its investments in Polkowice. A new warehouse, requiring an investment of approximately 200 million PLN, will be added to the company's existing logistics facilities. This development will support the dynamic growth of the HalfPrice retail chain.
The state-of-the-art distribution center will feature cutting-edge technologies, including automatic stacker systems for rapid storage and retrieval of full pallets in a high-bay warehouse, autonomous sorting robots for top brands, and several kilometers of automated conveyors connecting various warehouse areas. The facility will manage all logistics operations, such as receiving, adapting, and distributing goods to the entire HalfPrice store network across Poland and Europe.
"The Polkowice region remains the heart of our operations, even as CCC Group has expanded to 23 countries. It is a promising location where we aim to grow and create attractive jobs. We deeply value the close cooperation with institutions in the Legnica Special Economic Zone and the exceptional support and understanding of entrepreneurs' needs by Polkowice Mayor Wiesław Wabik, to whom I extend my gratitude for his commitment to fostering business," said Dariusz Miłek, CEO of CCC Group.
"Located in the Copper Basin, the Polkowice region is the second most economically developed area in Lower Silesia, following Wrocław. Every day, thousands of people commute to work in Polkowice. "Our roots are in copper ore mining, but we also prioritize the dynamic development of the Polkowice subzone of the Legnica Special Economic Zone. We support entrepreneurship and value new investments that provide employment opportunities for our residents," said Wiesław Wabik, Mayor of Polkowice.
The new logistics center will provide key benefits, including fast and precise large-scale order processing, efficient handling of increasing order volumes, comprehensive operational management, real-time inventory control, and resource optimization.
"We are rapidly expanding our off-price brand. Customers have embraced this format, and we currently operate 150 stores while entering new markets. Building this new logistics center is a strategic step in the dynamic growth of the HalfPrice network. With the advanced technologies we are implementing, the efficiency of our operations will increase significantly," added Dariusz Miłek, CEO of CCC Group.
The warehouse, designed with modular technological solutions, will be adaptable to new logistics challenges and needs. It will allow for easy expansion with additional storage zones and transportation systems. The investment will be carried out in two stages and will include revitalizing the current area of the Legnica Special Economic Zone with green spaces. The HalfPrice center will cover a total area of 50,000 m², provide 900 parking spaces, and employ 900 people. Some positions will be filled by current employees, while CCC Group will conduct additional recruitment for specialized roles.
Preparatory work, including construction and technology designs, was completed in 2024. The construction of the distribution center will begin between the first and second quarters of 2025, with operations set to commence in the second quarter of 2026.
