CCC will design shoes and accessories with the help of a 3D printer
CCC strengthens its position on the FashionTech market, consistently implementing modern technological solutions. The company has just purchased a 3D printer for detailed prototyping of solutions in the field of design and design, including footwear, branding elements, sole patterns, treads, as well as functional or decorative elements.
- Modern technologies are now an indispensable element of the fashion world. CCC, as a group that quickly reacts to the changing environment and creates trends, has decided to make another investment that will allow for a new quality of design and design of the products being developed. Today, 3D printing works in many areas where innovative and innovative solutions are created, which is why we are convinced that it will also pass the exam with us - said Piotr Kita, Creative Design Team Leader at the CCC Group.

Thanks to a 3D printer, designers will be able to work effectively in an iterative model. It consists in successively introducing changes to the developed prototype in order to improve it until the desired result is achieved. It will be possible to verify innovative design solutionsand test in a very short time, at the functional prototype stage - straight from the ready 3D model printout. Ultimately, the device will support the work of the Creation Department, and 3D designers will be responsible for the implementation of prints, order handling, as well as visualization and model development. Using the printer, they will create, among other things, branding elements for shoes, bags, accessories, as well as sole patterns, treads or other accessories.
The Stratasys Objet 260 3D printer purchased by the CCC Group operates in PolyJet technology. It is one of the most advanced and multi-material methods of three-dimensional printing, which uses photopolymer resins curable with UV light. The PolyJet technology allows for the production of objects from many materials at the same time, thanks to which, in one process, objects consisting of elements with different properties can be created.
One of the important advantages of the said device is the possibility of obtaining very complex geometries that would not be possible with traditional methods or would be very expensive and time-consuming. The purchased 3D printer allows the production of objects with a size of 25.5 × 25.2 × 20 cm, and the height of a single layer from which the model is made is only 16 micrometers (0.016 mm). The device supports 17 materials with different mechanical properties, e.g. rigid and durable materials, elastic ones imitating rubber properties, transparent ones, with polypropylene properties, resistant to high temperatures, as well as biocompatible materials, approved for contact with human skin.
- This pioneering implementation in the field of design can be briefly characterized in three words - modernity, speed and precision - adds Piotr Kita. - Thanks to the 3D printer, we will be able to test even more creative solutions. We will shorten the process of obtaining a prototype, which we will be able to implement on our own from the moment of the concept and sketch to the moment of obtaining a fully functional spatial model. 3D printing technology opens the door for us to refine the quality of the product patterneven more than ever before.
It is worth adding that the 3D printer will also find application in the projects of the Marketing Department and Visual Merchandising. It will be used to develop functional and structural prototypes of living room decor, including interior design. On the other hand, for the Maintenance Department, the device will be used to construct specific functional elements of machines with a given degree of hardness, durability and high precision of reproduction.
