Eobuwie.pl: new logistics centre in Romania already launched
As announced earlier, eobuwie.pl has opened a new logistics centre in Bucharest, Romania. Its launch marks another step in the company’s vigorous growth. The 15,000 sqm facility will serve the company’s key markets in southern Europe: Romania, Bulgaria and Greece. It will shorten delivery times to customers living in Bucharest, especially those opting for the Next Business Day service.
The new warehouse space will be able to hold a stock of approximately 2.6 million items. In the first phase it will comprise eobuwie.pl products, but in the future it will also include products of the MODIVO portfolio. The company is committed to process optimisation and the pursuit of synergies between available solutions.
The launch of the new logistics centre is a major step forward in eobuwie.pl’s growth. Until now, all the markets have been served by the centre in Zielona Góra. The new distribution and logistics space in Romania will further streamline the processes of serving regional markets. An added advantage of our chosen location is its convenient access to Sofia and from there to Athens. Bulgaria and Greece also count as our key regions. What matters is to guarantee even faster deliveries to a growing number of customers living in this part of Europe, says Damian Zapłata, President of the Management Board of eobuwie.pl S.A.
Swift deliveries under the Next Business Day option represent another step towards our goal of making shopping an ever more convenient experience. With this service, a product bought online is delivered to the customer the very next day.
In the coming years eobuwie.pl S.A. will be expanding its logistics base in Bucharest, with plans to increase its usable space up to 50,000 sqm. In addition, the company will continue to expand its logistics facilities in Zielona Góra.
According to the adopted strategy, by 2025 40% of all deliveries will be made the next day after placing an order. The expansion of our logistics capacities and focus on an efficient supply chain are therefore vital elements in pursuing these ambitious goals, adds Damian Zapłata.
The President of eobuwie.pl also emphasises that the purpose of all investments it to put the company on track for growth and further scale-up of business planned for the coming years.
