ESIZE.ME - A MILLION SCAN OF FEET OF THE POLES
Over a million users have already used innovative esize.me scanners available in CCC and eobuwie.pl stores and in the eobuwie application to scan their feet. Thanks to the esize.me service, which has been operating for 1.5 years, the CCC Group now has the largest database of this type in Poland and in the world. The collected data show, among others size, construction of feet, and age of clients. The latter parameter is also used to better match the size - the system assumes e.g. how the child's foot grows and recommends the most appropriate size. Women (63%) are more likely to scan their feet, and the size of statistical footwear for an adult Polish woman is 38.2, while for Poles 42.3.
Esize.me scanners, enabling 3D foot scanning, are currently available in a total of 213 CCC stationary stores and eobuwie. In April 2020, the foot scan (2D) function was also made available in the eobuwie.pl mobile application - the scan can be done at home, using a smartphone using a white card, which greatly facilitates the purchasing process and helps to match shoes without having to try on. As part of esize.me, customers can also order special, shoe-fitting insoles that increase footwear comfort. Their production is possible due to the combination of scans of shoe models with the customer's foot scan.
Asymmetry of the feet
In addition to statistical footwear sizes, which in Poland are 38.2 for women and 42.3 for men, data from esize.me scanners show, among others that 50% of adults who had scanned their feet had one longer and one wider. The difference in foot length is on average 2.5 mm. 22% of performed scans belong to children. Based on data from scanners, the average size of a girl's shoe in Poland is 32.7, while the boy's size is 35.4. Algorithms for predicting children's foot growth indicate that in order to choose the optimal size for a child's shoe, a foot scan should be performed on average once every 5 months.
Over a million scans performed are the best proof that customers were enthusiastic about our service. The scanning function in the eobuwie application launched during the pandemic also met with great interest of users. Using the camera in the phone, you can take a photo of your feet and receive a scan, allowing you to use the esize.me system, which tells us which shoes will be best suited, taking into account the different sizes of manufacturers. The technology already works in the eobuwie mobile application on Android, we plan to make it available also in the iOS version, soon also abroad and in the CCC application. By introducing scanners to CCC stores, access to the esize.me service has significantly increased. This service allows both eobuwie and CCC to reach a wider range of customers, as well as a better understanding of their needs and style. We make the purchase of shoes as easy as possible. Scanners, currently disinfected after each use, are now available in 190 CCC stores and 23 eobuwie stationary stores. Using them is intuitive, fast and secure. Last year, thanks to esize.me, we generated over PLN 70 million in sales. Our foot scan database is today the largest collection of such data in the world, and the popularity of this innovative solution among customers is constantly growing. Thanks to the esize.me service, in 5 seconds we can create a precise, three-dimensional model of our feet containing all the dimensions necessary for a perfect fit of the footwear - length, width, instep height or foot circumference. The CCC Group plans to develop and improve this solution and introduce it to new markets of activity.
