Marcin Stańko

Marcin Stańko is one of the most experienced Polish managers in the retail sector both in Poland and Europe, involved in building modern retail chains and their operational management. He has built his career over 25 years in the largest retail companies in Poland: Jeronimo Martins SGPS S.A (owner of Biedronka and first owner of Eurocash) and Pepco Group N.V (owner of Pepco, Dealz, Poundland UK). From 2004 to 2020, he created the Pepco concept and developed it successfully in the following years in 12 European countries, serving as COO CEE, Member of the Management Board of all Pepco European companies and COO at Pepco Lithuania. As COO of Pepco, he was responsible for the area of sales, investment and expansion in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as launching Pepco's expansion into the Italian, Spanish and Austrian markets. Following Pepco's successful IPO on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2021, he continued his work at Pepco Group N.V. as Director of Business Development for the Dealz brand in the Polish market, while creating European expansion plans for the brand.
European experience gained both in the retail sector and in the commercial real estate market resulted in Marcin Stanko's appointment in 2019 as a Member of the Supervisory Board of Profi Fomfood SLR (the largest retail company in the FMCG sector in Romania) and the start of close cooperation with the Private Equity Investment Fund - MidEuropa, based in London, at the beginning of 2022. Also at the beginning of 2022, Marcin Stańko was invited to cooperate with the Investment Fund Company (TFI) - Allied Funds, where he sat on the Supervisory Board as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Marcin Stańko in 1996 graduated from the Poznan University of Economics, Department of Sales and Marketing, specializing in Finance, where he received a master's degree in economic sciences. He also completed Executive Education, Strategic Planning & Management in Retailing, Babson College, Wellesley, USA.
Between 2000 and 2021, he participated in many business conferences both in Poland and Europe as an attendee, panelist and subject-matter expert. In 2018, he was nominated for Manager of the Year in the field of the most effective expansion and development in Poland (SCF in Warsaw) and significantly contributed to Pepco Poland winning many prestigious awards and honors - Forbs Diamonds, Business Gazelles, Consumer's Laurel, Employer of the Year.
